The classic safari with a new angle

Famed Danish author, Karin Blixen, once said of her time in Kenya, “There is something about safari life that makes you forget all your sorrows and feel as if you had drunk half a bottle of champagne — bubbling over with heartfelt gratitude for being alive.” Her sparkling words inspire our journey west across Southern Africa, across plains, salt pans, deserts and, deltas with breathtaking views of wildlife like you have never seen.

Reaching the unreachable

On our journey west, we will reach remote corners, greet locals and experience the varied flora and fauna of southern Africa. Autonomy from large airports or infrastructure allows us to introduce you to remote communities and reach destinations otherwise too challenging to reach over land.

Showcasing diversity

 of Southern Africa

The continent of Africa boasts some of the most spectacular ranges of landscapes and cultures on our planet. Our focus on the southern region, while only a fraction of the whole, will cover a beautifully diverse sample of what is on offer. We will meander from the Skeleton Coast towards Victoria Falls and back around, making our way over and touching down in Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.

Feel the crunch of the salt under your feet and deafening silence at the Makgadikgadi Pan, or wait for the floods and flocks of flamingos. Engulf yourself if the stories of the local Okavango Delta tour guides while floating through the water in a dugout canoe. Feast on meals designed by Jesper Vollmer in collaboration with renowned local chefs while gazing down upon Victoria Falls from a completely new vantage point.

Strengthening local

communities

While we are able to experience so much amazing wildlife, we also want to ensure that the communities we are reaching continue to thrive. With our carefully selected collaborators on the ground, we can ensure that the local people are benefiting through high-quality infrastructure, institutions, and employment. By supporting in this way, communities can remain intact alongside their customs and traditions for us to learn as well.

Practical Information

Our Capricorn Voyage will be released for booking in the near future. If you have any questions until then, do not hesitate to reach out to our sales team.

A NatGeo Explorer speaks

Dereck Joubert’s view on Airships

…I don’t know much about airships but I do know a lot about travel…And what I see is that now is the moment, with new technology, to return to that era of romance and to do it sustainably with a softer touch on the environment and without leaving any print. Sometimes in tourism we want to bring people to an extreme place. Imagine a way to do it by dropping them almost silently from the sky. So I have great excitement to see how we can use this new technology based on old style travel and to travel more meaningfully…
